The Commander of the 32 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Brig.-Gen. James Ataguba, on Saturday said the army is prepared for the forthcoming general elections.
Ataguba stated this at the Brigade West African Social Activities of the Nigeria Army held at the Owena Cantonment in Akure, Ondo State capital.
He said men and officers of the brigade, in collaboration with other security agencies in the state, would not relent in their efforts to ensure that lives and properties are protected before, during and after the elections.
“We will not do anything that will compromise the integrity of Nigerian Army. We are going to abide by the code of conducts given to us from our headquarters.
“As I speak to you, our soldiers and men of other security agencies are in the bushes running after criminals. Within the cantonment, we have witnessed unprecedented development.”
