Alhaji Liman Tambari Wamakko, the elder brother of Senator Aliyu Wamakko, passed away in Sokoto on Sunday night.
After a brief illness, the deceased passed away on Sunday at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital in Sokoto.
Liman Shehu Ardo Wamakko, the Chief Imam of the Wamakko Central Mosque, led the burial prayers for the late Liman Tambari.
The deceased’s younger brother, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, the governor of Sokoto State, Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, the speaker of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tukur Bala Bodinga, SSG Muhammadu Bello Sifawa, and the former minister of police affairs, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, all attended the funeral prayer.
Additional participants included members of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, the State Executive Council, Special Advisers, and Amb. Sahabi Isah Gada, the former Nigerian ambassador to the Republic of Tanzania.
Galadiman Garin Sokoto, Alhaji Aliyu Attahiru Galadanci, Ulamas, politicians, and traditional leaders made up the remainder, along with a large entourage of other notable individuals from both inside and outside Sokoto State.
Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko made this explanation shortly after the late Ubandoma’s funeral, stating that death is inevitable.
“Therefore, every soul will surely test it one day,” he said.
“Every mortal will inevitably leave this earth, but only at God’s given time.”
The Senator reminisced about how their family once consisted of eleven members, including the late Ubandoma Liman Tambari, but that currently there are just three surviving members.
He asked the Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased’s sins and grant him Jannatul Firdausi as his eternal home.
Sen. Wamakko also took advantage of the opportunity to express gratitude to everyone who attended his elder brother’s funeral and to ask Allah to richly reward them.
Mallam Muhammadu Dangande Wamakko, the Chief Imam of the Dinkyal Jumu’at Mosque in the Wamakko Local Government Area of the state, performed a special prayer for the deceased’s soul to rest.
3 wives and 15 children survived the 86-year-old late Liman Tambari Wamakko.
