Two friends, Abdullahi Adebayo and Suleiman Olanrewaju, who the Police accused of attempting to bury charms on a building site, on Tuesday appeared in an Ilorin Senior Magistrate Court.
The Police charged Adebayo, 38, and Olanrewaju, 39, with criminal conspiracy and being in possession of “criminal charm.”
The prosecutor, Insp. Zacheous Folorunsho, told the court that on December 5, one Mohammed Abdulraheem, who lives behind ‘F’ Division, Tanke, Ilorin, reported the case at the Police station.
Folorunsho alleged that the complainant caught the two accused trying to bury a charm on his building site at Oke-Odo, Ilorin.
He alleged that Adebayo’s father and the complainant were involved in a land dispute and that the matter was before a court of law,
The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of sections 97 and 217 of the penal code law.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the offence.
Senior Magistrate Abdulraheem Bello admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N50,000 each and two sureties each in like sum.
Bello adjourned the case until January 11, for hearing.
