Yekeen Adeojo, a politician from Ibadan and a founding member of the People Democratic Party, passed away.
He passed away early on Friday in the capital of Oyo State, Ibadan, at his home in the Iyaganku Government Reserved Area.
Adeojo was the former Deputy National Chairman (South) of the PDP and held the prestigious title of Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland. He was also a notable chieftain in Ibadan.
He was the father of current Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government Area of the state, Sheriff Adeojo.
The PDP chieftain contested the gubernatorial election on the platform of the party in 1999.
As of press time, on Friday, details of his demise were still sketchy.
A family source stated that, “Our father died this morning (Friday). We are working on burial arrangements. The family will issue a statement in that regards very soon.”
