The Osun State Governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola, has depicted as false the reports in the media that the Accountant General of the state, Mr Alaba Kolawole, surrendered his position.
The representative, in an announcement issued by his media associate, Mr Sola Fasure, said the bookkeeper general achieved the age of 60 on August 11 and resigned from the administration intentionally on the record of age.
He encouraged people in general to ignore the news of the abdication of the AG, while clarifying that the letter written to banks by Kolawole was essential since he could never again sign keeps an eye for the benefit of the state having resigned from the administration.
The announcement read to a limited extent, “For the evasion of uncertainty, Mr Kolawole resigned willfully from benefit, having accomplished the statutory age of 60 on August 11, 2018.
“He appropriately told the state government, through the Head of Service on May 11, 2018. The Head of Service additionally told the senator on June 11, 2018. Senator Aregbesola at that point endorsed the retirement on June 16, 2018.
“As statutorily expected of him, Mr Kolawole kept in touch with the banks and monetary foundations working with the legislature, to advise them of the weakness of his mark since he will venture out of administration and will never again be skillful to go about as a signatory to the administration’s records or execute business for the benefit of the legislature.
