The Otun of Oyo land, Chief Moses Oyedele Ogunmola, dies at 95.
Member representing Ibadan Southwest, Northwest Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Honourable Adedeji Stanley Olajide (Odidiomo) has described the chief’s demise as a great loss to the nation.
Odidiomo said the former Nigeria’s Ambassador to Congo and some other East African countries played a significant role in the development of Oyo town, the state and Nigeria at large.
The chairman, House Committee on Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Cybersecurity also condoled with sons, daughters and the family of the deceased.
He prayed God should give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss adding that Oyo town, the state and Nigeria will miss him.
His words: “Let me use this opportunity to express my condolences to the family of the Late Otun of Oyo land, Chief Moses Oyedele Ogunmola. Chief Ogunmola will be greatly missed by everyone.
“His demise is a great loss to Oyo town, the state and Nigeria at large. I pray God gives the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. We will always remember him for his contributions to the development of our dear nation. May his soul rest in peace, amen.”
Ogunmola, who was a chairman of the Old Oyo local government as well as that of Western Nigeria Development Commission, WNDC (now Odu’a) died on Sunday.
