The National Youth Service Corps has commended corps members across the country for their patriotism, good conduct, and tenacity.
At the conclusion ceremony of the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream II orientation course on Tuesday at the Wailo NYSC Orientation Camp in Bauchi State, NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed made the commendation.
The DG, who was represented by Rifkatu Yakubu, the NYSC State Coordinator for Bauchi, also commended the corps members’ maturity and patience during the three-week orientation exercise.
According to him, their discipline and tolerance convinced him that their time at the camp had been worthwhile. He expressed confidence that they would make a meaningful impact in their host communities during the service year.
He said, “Gentlemen corps members, as you embark on the second phase of your service year, I urge you to remain obedient, loyal, and diligent.
“Endeavour to settle in quickly when you arrive at your places of primary assignment and adapt to the way of life there.
“Do your best to obey the rules of your host communities and appreciate their customs and culture.
“Their efforts in meeting our casual labour needs have significantly reduced the burden on corps members and officials.”
