National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has said he cannot be celebrating while the nation is mourning.
Tinubu, who announced the cancellation of his 13th birthday colloquium a few minutes after the official kick-up of the event in honour of victims of the Kaduna-Abuja train attacked by suspected terrorists on Monday evening, described the attack as a national tragedy.
He said: “I am very sad about the situation and it calls for sober reflection,” before cancelling the event, which already
attracted many important dignitaries.
The APC presidential aspirant appealed for understanding of guests already seated and
urged religious leaders to pray for the victims of the train attack.
