President Bola Tinubu has agreed to pay N70,000 as the new minimum wage.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris revealed this following the organised labour and government meeting.
Labour leaders including the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero and that of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Festus Osifo attended the meeting.
The union leaders arrived in a white 32-seater Coaster bus at approximately 2:15 p.m. and made their way directly to the President’s first-floor office, where the meeting is scheduled to take place.
