The West African Senior School Certificate Examination for school candidates will begin on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, and run through June 24, 2024, according to the West African Examinations Council, Nigeria.
Speaking on Monday at the WAEC Lagos Office, Dr. Amos Dangut, Head of the Nigeria Office, stated that the council was prepared to conduct the examination.
He said, “It would last for seven weeks and six days”.
“I am delighted to inform you that the 2024 WASSCE for School Candidates will take place in Nigeria over the course of seven weeks and six days, from Tuesday, April 30, to Monday, June 24, 2024,” Dangut stated. Four WAEC member countries; Nigeria, Gambia, Sierra Leone, and Liberia will conduct the examination.
“We would like to let candidates know that the council is prepared to conduct WASSCE.”
“We are set for the conduct of WASSCE for School candidates in Nigeria in 2024,” he continued. The Council also fulfills its responsibility to conduct reliable exams for Nigerian children and the public by working with the Federal Ministry of Education, State Ministries of Education, the Nigeria Police, and other relevant organizations.
“Even though we are counting on them once more, we remain eternally grateful to the Honorable Minister of Education, the Honorable Minister of State for Education, all State Ministries of Education, the Inspector-General of Police, and basically all of our stakeholders for their customary support and cooperation.”t
