Former Kogi Governor, Yahaya Bello on Thursday requested the Federal High Court in Abuja to transfer his case with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to Kogi.
The EFCC had charged Bello with N82 billion in fraud, and the court, presided over by Justice Nwite, heard the case.
However, on Thursday, Bello informed the court through his attorney, Adeola Adedipe that the case should be heard in Kogi State because the accusations against him were made during his tenure as the governor of Kogi State.
