Five suspected cultists on the wanted list of Ogun State police command have been arrested in their hideout off Molipa Road in the Ijebu-Ode area of the state.
Police said the suspects were involved in several cult clashes in which many died including one Sergeant Akeem Oseni attached to Igbeba division.
Detectives reportedly stormed the hideout and arrested five of the suspects after a gun battle.
Oyeyemi said the suspects seemed to have a knack for cutting off the right hand of their victims after killing them.
Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, directed that they be transferred to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation.
