A Minna Magistrates’ Court on Friday, requested that a herder, Bello, be remanded in prison for allegedly killing a farmer, pending legitimate exhortation.
Magistrate Mariam Kings declined to take his request in light of the fact that the court lacked jurisdiction to hear the matter.
Mariam guided the police to advance the case document to the State Director of Public Prosecution for lawful counsel.
She dismissed the issue until September 26 for further notice.
Prior, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp. Aliyu Yakubu, in the charge sheet, accused Bello of three tallies of criminal trespass, devilishness and punishable manslaughter, in spite of segments 348, 327 and 222 of the Penal Code law.
Yakubu claimed that the charged individual was captured in Rubochi town in Lapai Local Government Area on August 2.
He claimed the charged individual purposely guided his steers into the homestead of one Haruna and obliterated his harvests.
He said when advised, the charged individual expelled his cutlass and sliced Haruna’s hand and he seeped to his demise.
