The State Government of Adamawa has set to begin vaccination for young girls between age nine to fourteen years against Human Papilloma Virus that causes Cervical Cancer in women.
The State Chairman of the State Primary Health Care Agency, Dr. Suleiman Bashir made this known on Friday in Yola, that the exercise will begin on Monday for 21 Local councils areas of the state, and the vaccination will run for 5days.
Bashir further stated that any woman who is above 15years, would have to go for HPV test before they can get the vaccine.
Furthermore, it was disclosed that Cancer does not have Cure, but the vaccine would help prevent the occurrence of the virus in the body.
