Miguel Ovoke, a four-year-old student at BrickHall Schools in Cadastral Zone B11, Kaura, Abuja, passed away on Wednesday during the school’s feeding hours.

Death certificate was viewed from Excel Specialist Hospital, Abuja dated April 24, 2024, which states that Ovoke was carried to the hospital in an unconscious state by his teachers at approximately 11 a.m.

He was brought in “on account of aspiration on meat while feeding at school,” according to the medical report, which was signed by Dr. Akinwande Ajayi on behalf of the medical director.

Upon inspection, the boy’s pupils were discovered to be dilated and fixed, exhibiting a nonreactive response to light, according to the hospital.

According to the report, His peripheral pulses were said to be “impalpable, blood pressure was unrecordable, and there was no cardiopulmonary activity or respiratory excursions, silent chest.”

The report stated that the medical team’s attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.

According to the report’s conclusion, he was “brought in dead.”

According to information received, the deceased’s parents have hired a lawyer, Deji Adeyanju to represent them since they suspect foul play.

Adeyanju gave the confirmation of the development on Thursday.

As of the time this report was filed, there has been no success in getting a response from the school administration.

An email sent to the school’s verified email address has not yet received a response.
