The grandmother’s motive for acting that way remained a mystery, but the kids that are two boys and a girl between the ages of two and four appeared underweight and were reportedly just wearing diapers when they were found.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command spokesperson, announced that the grandmother, Fatimo Ganiyu, had been taken into custody.
He stated: “At approximately 4:00 p.m., information was received at Ikotun Division regarding the confinement of three children, two boys and a girl by their grandmother, Fatimo Ganiyu, in the vicinity of Agodo, Egbe-Ikotun. The children were between the ages of two and four.
Despite the fact that the kids looked ill and undernourished, the Divisional Police Officer quickly rallied a group of anti-crime detectives to the area, where they were rescued and brought to the station.
The suspect was taken into custody, and the babies will be moved so they may receive the necessary care. An investigation is still ongoing.
