A new process for accepting or rejecting admission offers to candidates has been implemented by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, or JAMB.
According to JAMB, admissions and rejections of admissions or programme will now only be made via 55019, 66019, or biometrics.
“The Board has put the necessary mechanisms in place to ensure that, going forward, all admissions offered by institutions can only be accepted or rejected through the 55019 or 66019 channels, or by using the candidate’s biometrics at any accredited CBT center or JAMB Office. This is part of its efforts to streamline its processes for candidates.
With the use of this service, applicants would be able to use their fingerprints to accept or reject any admission offer, regardless of program changes.
It stated, “Therefore, the newly-crafted methods of accepting or rejecting admissions, are aimed at protecting the sanctity of the admission process and the personal information of the candidates.”
