The Defence Headquarters has announced the wanted status of eight individuals for their involvement in the recent killing of 17 military personnel in Delta State.

The military disclosed the list on Thursday during a briefing held in Abuja.

Those declared wanted are Prof. Ekpekpo Arthur, Andaowei Dennis Bakriri, Akevwru Daniel Omotegbo (a.k.a Amagben), Akata Malawa David, Sinclear Oliki, Clement Ikolo Ogenerukeywe, Reuben Baru, Igoli Ebi.

This is coming hours after the 17 slain soldiers were buried at the National Cemetery in Abuja on Wednesday.

The ceremony was attended by President Bola Tinubu, governors and other dignitaries.

At the event, President Tinubu promised support for the families of the victims.

He also announced scholarships for the children of the slain soldiers, including those in the womb.

President Tinubu, however, vowed that the killers would not go unpunished.

“We will find them, and our departed heroes will get justice,” the President said at the National Cemetery.
