Reactions have continued to trail the order of the Federal government’s barring unlinked lines to the National Identification Number (NIN) across Nigeria

Some telecommunication subscribers in Ibadan lamented that the order which took effect on Monday has caused strain in their daily lives and businesses.

A cross section of the affected service subscribers who spoke with Fresh FM correspondent, Adeola bankole noted that the processes of linking their Subscriber Identity Module, SIM, cards with their NIN are also cumbersome as they visit service providers’ offices every day without success.

“We were actually told to dial 1211# for Airtel users but then it has not been going,so that’s why I have come here to the Airtel office myself to have it fixed”.

“They asked me to write my name because my phone got lost yesterday night and am here to swap my number,it has been long that I have been here, they have been calling names and my name has not been called. Some other people are here too because their lines have been blocked and they are here to retrieve bit again, everything was just clumsy. I don’t know how we are going to do it”

“I have been here since six thirty a.m and they have refused to let us in,for crying out loud,I have done my NIN since last year January and it’s just to link up my sim to the NIN. And one can not do it with the code they gave us , so we need to enter inside and do it and yet they have refused to allow us in. So I am not happy at all that I left my business since morning”

“They blocked my sim card and I am here to reactivate it back, so they are just frustrating me,I have been going up and down, now I am fed up seriously because i don’t really know what to do,they gave us a short code to dial just to make it easy for us but it’s not working and they have blocked my three sim cards”.
