[BREAKING] Osun begins payment of unpaid debts, pensions

The Osun State Government has paid workers’ pay, leave prizes and annuities with the N16.6 billion Paris Club markdown released to the state by the Federal Government.

The Commissioner for Finance, Mr Bola Oyebamiji, who said this at an open meeting in Osogbo on Thursday incorporated that the state government included N3 billion delivered from various sources to make it an entirety of N19.8 billion which was used to pay the August pay rates, four months pay unpaid obligations, advantages and leave prizes to the experts.

The authority said it was not the main go through Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s association would submit such a colossal entirety got from the Federal Government to pay rates and advantages.

Oyebamiji expressed, “The latest Paris Club rebate released to the state by the Federal Government is N16.623,296,402.82 while Mr Governor has supported the apportioning of N19,801,328,271.22 to clear four months of pay back installments, annuity unpaid obligations and leave compensate with adequate plan for full pay rates.

“For the second month, we have now paid full pay to each one of our workers. It is my desire and supplications that this will be overseen, and we will never have cause to adjust workers’ compensation rates in Osun again. ‎

“In this way, for Governor Rauf Aregbesola, I will seize the opportunity to perceive and thank each one of the masters in Osun for their relinquish, quality and fearless help to the lawmaking body and commitment to commitment, even in the midst of overpowering troubles. I have more likely than not that workers, in their apparent thoughtful mentality and Omoluabi soul, will react this extraordinary flag from the organization.”
