A Medical expert, Dr. Olusegun david has advocated for more funding of Hepatitis disease in Nigeria.
Hepatitis often regarded to as a silent killer is the inflammation of the liver cells and often characterized with symptoms such as yellow discoloration of the skin, poor appetite, vomiting, among others.
Fresh FM correspondent, Victoria David reports that Dr. Olusegun David who is the President of Viral Hepatitis Association of Nigeria, said the disease can be prevented, diagnosed, treated and even cured, advising adults to know their status by getting started and be vaccinated.
Dr. Olusegun who commended the federal government’s efforts in creating awareness by partnering with other health organizations however called for more funding in order to attain the vision 2030 goal of totally eradicating the disease in the country.
