A presidential aspirant of the Nigeria Democratic Congress Party (NDCP) Dr. Johnson Edosomwan, has said the battle against corruption is not about sending people to jail.
Edosomwan said strengthening of government institution and making citizens earned decent ways of living would defeat corruption in the country.
The presidential aspirant’s comment followed the conviction of two former governors, Joshua Dariye and Jolly Nyame, for corrupt practices.
Speaking at a rally to sensitise youths and women on the need to obtain their PVCs in Benin City, Edo State, Edosomwan said there would be less corruption in Nigeria if the country’s minimum wage can compete with rest of the world.
